Does this sound familiar?

Chances are that if you are in science, academia, or any other male-dominated and/or STEM-related field, that you struggle with juggling all the balls and meeting all these expectations.

That you feel like so much needs to be done, and so much has to be accomplished, that you are constantly "on", physically AND mentally, and by the end of the day you fall tired and exhausted into your bed and wonder what you have done for yourself that day.

Chances are also that, if you are part of this “club”, you might be a perfectionist and even more likely a high achiever - getting it done, but still feeling empty and unfulfilled.

You gotta stay competitive, you gotta keep up with your male (non-parent aka more productive) counterparts – especially if you are still in the running for THAT job or THAT promotion.

You put everything and everyone first, and put your own needs (and therefore well-being!) off to “the next day” – only, that this “next” never comes.

And if you dare to take some time for yourself, you feel guilty

(hello mom-guilt!!!!).

Plus, there is this constant nagging voice in your head that you are egoistic, not deserving, and not capable of having it all.

Is this you? Then please know that you’re NOT ALONE.

Especially in a male-dominated work-place everything is about hustle, getting sh** done, being evaluated by how much we deliver in the shortest amount of time possible.

If we are not careful, however, neglecting our creative side (or “flow”) will lead to that resentment, and more drastically,

burn out.

This does NOT need to be the case!

Know that you are NOT a victim of your circumstances. You can take back your power, self-command and get into the drivers’ seat of your own happiness and a fulfilled life, without resentment or wondering where that next bit of needed energy comes from.

I’ve been there and completely burned out – and got out of it by learning powerful strategies and techniques to optimize my mindset, practice mindfulness, and align that with daily actions that were 100% authentic to what I needed.

I’d love to share with you what I’ve learned on my journey to happiness and fulfillment as a career-driven mom in science and academia so that you don’t have to re-invent the wheel.
